DEP Identifies Toxic Waste


Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 8, 9 & 10, various times:  Biodiversity Days sponsored by the Farmington River Watershed Association (FRWA).  A variety of walks and workshops being held in Becket, Granville, Otis, Sandisfield and Tolland.  In Becket, there will be hikes to the historic Keystone Arches along the Westfield River on Sunday, June 10, from 7 to 9 a.m. and again from 1 to 4 p.m.  Another hike to inventory flora and fauna in the 300-acre Quarry Site will take place Sunday, June 10, at 11 a.m. (meeting at the Becket Town Hall).  For information on other activities, call FRWA (860-658-4442).
Saturday, June 16, 8 to 11 a.m.: Breakfast at the Becket Federated Church Parish House.  The all-you-can-eat breakfast features pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage, juice and  coffee.  Adults: $4; children: $2.50.
Saturday, July 7, all day:  Community Fair in Becket.  Crafts, food, children's games and more.
